Hundred Years War

The Hundered Years War is an important part of human history. The war brought forth nationalism. Which meant people care what country ruled them not rule what lord directly ruled over them. This lead to many changes in humanity from then on. For example many revolutions were about being freed from foreign powers.

The war was about English holdings in mainland France in Normandy. The royal family of England were originally from Normandy but invaded England and replaced the current leadership. This lead to a predicament. Normandy was part of France and England was a vassal of France when they took over England. So the king of England  was technically a vassal of France. This sparked tensions between the two kings. The king of France slowly confiscated these titles from king of England over generations.

However due to The prince of England having a strong claim on the French throne. When he wasn't given the throne he claimed it and declared war for the throne of France.

The war was long and bloody and is the longest continuous war in human history. The war eventually became a war of mercenaries. For both nation's armies were devastated from the war and France was damaged heavily from the warfare and looting.

France won the war after Joan of Arc lead the french troops even though she was a woman she was belived to be chosen by god to lead France to victory. Even after her burning at the steak by English troops the French troops fought in her name and drove out the English finally after 100 years of warfare.

Homemade Cheese Dip

  Ingredients

2Lbs velvetta cheese
2 cans mild Rotel
1 dash Cumin

Preparation

First step is to cut the velvetta cheese into small chunks. If the chunks are too big the cheese will not melt properly. Next you dump the chunks of cheese into a large bowl.

My mom always worries when I cut the cheese. She always says "don't cut off a finger!" I have yet to cut myself. While I cut to pass the time I like to sing. I usualy sing silly songs that I make up as I sing them. Songs from monkeys eating coconuts to songs about flying turtles.

Next step is to open the two cans of Rotel and put them into the blender, and blend them until it is almost completely liquid (5-10 seconds). Then you pour the rotel on top of the cut up velvetta cheese in the bowl.

I never seem to have problems with the first can but always with the second one.

The next step is to put the bowl into the microwave for 3 minutes on high and stir thoroughly. Repeat until the rotel and cheese are thoroughlt mixed.

I always watch the bowl spin in the microwave the gentle turns so calming, so relaxing.

Add a dash of Cumin for flavor. Then pour into dishes to be served.

I always remember swimming and laughing during the summer when I eat the cheese dip. I will never forget those days.

Handsomest Drowned Man

The Handsomest Drowned Man in the World is a story about how an unreal sized man changes what a village expects from life. His large size stretches their imagination and what they believed was possible.

They thought he was a handsome powerful majestic man. The women wished their men were like him big and powerful. The women were glad when the men returned from the nearby villages saying the man didn't belong to them.

However soon they realised how his size must have changed his life. How he would have to go through doors sideways, lean against walls instead of siting down it chairs, and  how his size made him clumsy.

The story shows how when confronted with something new and different humans learn and adapt from it. And how what seems like a blessing can be a curse.
